These were originally used to hold gun powder, but over time it would hold any personal item that would fit within it. There is a wooden piece in the large opening that has been secured with tacks. There is a leather strap making it easy to display on a wall or hanging from a knob. There are some divots in the bone but, it is in good condition otherwise. It’s got great color gradation. See less
