Decorative gold details add a beautiful touch to this already remarkable Tetradrachm piece. On the reverse side, there is an AOE and owl with an olive sprig and crescent moon in the upper left corner; there is an incuse square around the image. On the obverse side is the profile of Athena wearing a crested helmet. This coin is from Attica in Athens, Greece between 440-420 BC and was considered worth four times a man's daily wage. This coin has been inspected and approved to be authentic by a professional Numismatic who specializes in ancient coinage. A Certificate of Authenticity will accompany this coin.
