Beautiful condition, keeping in mind that this is vintage and not new so will have signs of use and wear even if it has been refinished or restored. Specifically, there was a hairline crack around the neck of the small child and it has been repaired. This is an absolutely GORGEOUS vintage sculpture titled “A Mother’s Love” signed by artist David Fisher for Austin Sculptures. It is a lovely figural comprised of a faux stone composite called durastone bearing the profile of a woman holding her two children in a loving embrace. David Fisher brings them to life with his attention to detail in their soft facial expressions, smooth flowing hair, innocent eyes, and delicate toes peeking through the base of the sculpture. It exudes with a gentle, kind, protective, sheltering, and nurturing aura… all things motherly. David Fisher is a graduate of the Greek Art College of Odessa and has worked for over thirty years as a sculptor in marble, granite, bronze, and wood. He has also been an honorary member of the Professional Arts union in the U.S.S.R. for over twenty years. He emigrated to the U.S. and won a first-place prize for his sculpture for the Vietnam War Memorial in Washington D.C.
