Apparently it was a mold for a "Shear Pin hub"as marked on park of it - fantastic patina on the wood with rich character to the entire piece - great from all angles. Absolutely stunning conversation piece that would be eye catching in modern or classic interiors as a sculptural display - flip it upside down, lay it sideways, it looks great from all angles!
