Artist Biography

Frank-Will was active/lived in France. He is known for painting.

Frank William Boggs was born in 1900, in the Seine-et-Oise region of Northern France to the American painter Frank Myers Boggs and his French wife.

Frank-Will studied painting in the studio of his father in the rue de Clignancourt Paris, later giving up his architectural studies to devote himself entirely to painting. He specialised in depicting scenes of Paris, mainly in watercolour, and was associated with the École de Montmartre, together with his close friend, the artist Gen Paul.

Frank-Will had many solo exhibitions in Paris, most notably at the Galerie George Petit in the 1920s, Galerie Hector Brame during the 1930s and at the Galerie Henri Bureau thereafter. He also participated in group exhibitions internationally.Frank-Will died in Paris in 1951.
