An original oil painting by California artist Jeanette Le Grue, depicting a dramatic stretch of the rugged Northern California coastline. Executed in expressive impressionist brushwork, the composition captures steep coastal bluffs, surf breaking through a narrow cove, and cool blue-green Pacific waters beneath an overcast sky.
Presented in a substantial gilt wood gallery frame retaining a William Lester Gallery, Pt. Reyes Station, California label on the reverse. The bold brushwork and restrained palette give the painting a strong architectural presence that works equally well in coastal, mountain, modern rustic, traditional, and collected interiors.
