This chair features an openwork slatted back and stepped armrests. The rectangular seat is made of varnished planks, connected to a lower stretcher thanks to small wooden balusters. The chair is raised on four straight legs, strengthened by side stretchers, the front one being adorned with a scalloped skirt. The curvy lines of the skirt is echoed on the two carved motifs that decorate the two front legs. Thanks to its combination of tradition and modernity, this Chinese 19th century antique dark brown lacquered wood chair would be a perfect seating choice for any room, particularly used in a den near a desk.
