This 19th century Chinese chair features a rectangular back topped with a slightly arched rail. Our eye is immediately drawn to the beautifully carved splat, accented with painted scenes of a bird and a landscape, along with delicately carved scrolled motifs on the sides. Two open arms showcasing a curving shape and strengthened by carved supports with floral motifs, flank a rectangular rattan seat.
