This Vintage shipping scale has an incredible, gracefully aged appearance; the harmony of the solid walnut and brass/metal features leads to a magnificent look that is simultaneously traditional and industrial. This Scale is branded as having been made in 1932 for the United States Post Office, and it still has all of the original hardware and weights that were used to weigh packages for shipping, see pictures. Interestingly, the scale is designed so that the displayed weight can be read from both sides. This platform shipping scale would make an especially brilliant display piece for a collector of USPS/Post Office memorabilia. The condition of this upright shipping scale is secure and sturdy, there are scratches/imperfections/touch ups here and there proper to its age and as part of its wear and tear, see pictures.
