Important pendulum “les Deux Parques” based on the model of Ferdinand Barbedienne, 2nd half of the 19th century, the pendulum … Read more Important pendulum “les Deux Parques” based on the model of Ferdinand Barbedienne, 2nd half of the 19th century, the pendulum depicts Aphrodite and her mother Dione, draped in antique, brown patinated bronze, stamped “Reduction Mècanique A.Collas, Achille Collas and Fernandinand Barbedienne”. signed the founding agreement of the Ferdinand Barbedienne Company and Achille Collas on November 29, 1837 and are now working together, Barbedienne taking over the commercial management and Collas overseeing production. The clock was built in three parts, the heavy bronze base is gilded with a lion's paws and burgundy velvet covering serves as a base for the white marble, in the center of which is the clockwork. The finale is this extraordinary and beautifully crafted bronze work depicting Aphrodite. See less
