The shield is divided into 4 panels and shows four scenes in the life of Julius Caesar Beautifully executed in shallow relief and cast in a thicker iron with a serial number on the reverse and a hanging bar across the top. Now mounted on a steel museum stand. The measurements are 26" tall and 21.5" in diameter, and the base is 12" by 8". Quite heavy. Cast iron mid-19th century. Beautiful English cast iron. See less
