Offered is a sculptural form hand blown glass vase with a hooped genie form center and tapered base, designed by … Read more Offered is a sculptural form hand blown glass vase with a hooped genie form center and tapered base, designed by Tamara Aladin for the iconic Riihimäen Glass company of Finland. Riihimäen Glass was in production from 1910-1990, and their pieces are recognized for their collectible high-end vases from the mid-20th century. This piece also features the signature concentric circles at the base, possibly as a detail to help the vase from slipping due to condensation on it, and to keep the glass safe from chipping on rough surfaces. While this particular design is made in many colors and sizes, to date this is the largest one we have found.
