The frame, the legs, the apron are cut like notches on a bamboo branch. The center design on the apron is a beautiful combination of seven bamboo leaves, repeated on all four sides. The wood is well polished and the wood finish remains almost as fresh as the day it was made. The top frame is mitered and the legs are joined in the traditional joinery. The top is a beautifully figured burlwood.with eyes, Small rectangular legs support the bottom stretchers. It is a stand that makes a statement and worthy to display a work of art.

Stands of this quality are no longer made due to time and lack of interest of younger folks entering the trade of wood carving. Although machinery can easily replace handwork, but it lacks the refinement. See less
