Flat moulded top above a pair of glass front doors with Foliate carved mahogany arabesque style arches. The lower chest with 4 drawers, the top one folding down to reveal a desk with fitted interior with drawers and pigeon holes featuring a blue velvet writing surface. Drawers of crotch mahogany with ebony inlay circumscribing the edges, turned pulls with inset mother of Pearl. Flanked by beautifully carved sides with floral sprays, rosettes, beading, acanthus foliage scrolls. The whole on turned turnip feet. British. Circa 1865 See less
