Mid century modern teak chairs with original black leather, made in Denmark with barrel back. Both armchairs are imprinted with designer attribution and country of origin, numbered 12 & 96. Hard, firm seating. All original, they have been gently refinished and reinforced. Chairs are extremely sturdy but one can see that there were repairs done on underside of one chair as wood seat may have began to lose integrity. Same seat may have had some damage (visible in CU of leather seat) but I didn't want to reupholster and destroy this OG leather from the 50's. These chairs are strong, repairs were done properly.
Arne Hovmand-Olsen was a Danish mid-century modern furniture designer known for his functional, simple yet sculptural designs.
