Vintage: C1965, Hollywood Regency era, Italian Venetian, stunning and refined, hand-carved, gilt pier or wall mirror, with acanthus leaf-wrapped scroll details, in a relief format, including a shell motif center top detail design, with a simple refined pier pediment top. There is an undertone Venetian red finish, original to time with gilt gold leaf overlays throughout. The backside top indicates a sticker affixed with Made in Italy marking, with European numerical production numbers as well, including to the left top area as image indicates a stamping of sorts, indicating Made In Italy. There is also an image to indicate, date and provenance, whereupon the mirror was placed within this carved wall mirror frame, C. August, 26,1965, Virginia. This and all the new Hollywood Regency Mirrors soon to be listed came from a gorgeous high-rise condo int he heart of Fort lauderdale beach, exclusive area known as Harbor Beach Area, points to the south and east ocean view, by the Port and 17th. Street Causeway and Ocean, in an old Art Deco Highrise. The place was untouched and empty for 9 yrs., an where we sourced these wonderful Asian and Hollywood Regency pieces, with "only," one owner. This may be used for a wonderful power room, entree' foyer, landing, dining room area, living or family room area, walk-in closet, or anywhere some gorgeous presence is needed. This was initially hung entering the master bedroom, while when rounding the corner there was another curvy gilt Venetian mirror, soon to come your way. with expansive views of the ocean, and a time warp of furniture and design abounded in overload fashion.
There is and was a small wall console in the same fashion and provenance hung below this, and currently on sale. You may inquire within if you should choose to want to include that with this mirror, and not break up the original showpiece of this gorgeous mirror by offsetting it, or not.
