Traditional shoes of the wealthy Chinese woman. Nice clean and never worn, these slippers or shoes are made of smooth black silk with bright colored embroidery. Feet were bound to stop the growth because if a woman had normal size feet, she was considered to be a peasant. That meant that the hard work she did on the farm caused her feet to be large.
Measurement is for one shoe.
