This set of five lovely blue willow plates was likely produced in Staffordshire region of England either late in the nineteenth or early in the twentieth century.
The traditional design illustrating the story of two star-crossed lovers was produced by transferring it from an inked engraving onto paper which was then pressed onto the item.
