It is Beautifully Made out of an Indigenous North American Hardwoods That Appear to be Maple and Oak. It also has Some Steel Parts that Include Screen, Bolts, Back Panel & Structural Brackets Etc. It Was Varnished Many Years Ago - Possibly Original and has Since Developed a Beautiful Color with that Wonderful Natural Aged Patina that Cannot be Duplicated. NOTE That Both Sides are Wood Burned Hot Iron Burn Branded with the Name H.J. THAYER This Most Likely the Cranberry Farmers - Owners Name. It is in Very Good Structural and Cosmetic Condition - No Damage - Displays Beautifully. I Purchased this Piece on one of my Recent Picking Adventures in the Northern Cape Cod Massachusetts Region. Cape Cod - Also known as the Cranberry Capital USA where they are and have been Abundantly Grown and Harvested for Many Years.
