This organic fantasy features a young (and adorable) satyr - note the emerging tail - who has just harvested grapes for his drunken lout of an old man -- or some such story! It's a magnificent work by any interpretation, worthy of the finest Art Nouveau collection or any aspiring vintner living around Napa or another wine-producing center. It stands just under seven inches tall. The patina on this example is especially rich and in excellent condition. In the presence of this piece one is reminded why the French are revered for their artistic output!
