Vintage: C.1960s, Original Italian, hand-blown monumentally large accent bowl by Alfredo Barbini in a baby blue or sky blue coloration, … Read more Vintage: C.1960s, Original Italian, hand-blown monumentally large accent bowl by Alfredo Barbini in a baby blue or sky blue coloration, with 24k gold dust variegations and concentric, quilt-like pattern of bubble inclusions. The wide, expansive opened accent or center bowl has a dimpled end on the outer of one side, followed by a fold on the apposing side of the dimple, indicative to his larger pieces, but synonymous to his style. Polished pontil base bottom, as image indicates. Many well-known Murano, glass blown artists, made their marks with distinctive attributes to their pieces, thus a following ensued with the master's of Murano, as pieces are coveted today, as in their heyday of production periods, predominantly, between 1950s-70s, and there on spawned next generation of Murano hand blowers in Italy and abroad, but most acclaimed within Italy on the Island of Murano. Sourced from a Jupiter, Florida Estate, which had a varied collection of baby blue, taupe and bronze Murano pieces, including lucite and Taxco, Mexican brass pieces, beyond their Mid-Century wonder of furniture, accent, lighting and sculptural pieces.
