Originally designed as the Contour Collection (Trisymmetric Chaise Longue and Armchair Lounge) in the late 1950’s as a metal version of his tri-symmetric wood forms of the 1940’s for Kagan-Dreyfus. Produced under Vladimir Kagan New York in the mid 1990s and early 2000’s, the VK collection was a reissue of the Trisymmetric/Contour collections but with an added fourth leg for stability. No longer in production. Usually seen as a chaise longue. Gorgeous rarity. Very comfortable design. Labelled. Literature: The Complete Kagan (2004): 130-3; 204-205. See less
