Rigaree trim is made by crimping the applied bands.

The body and arms are made of opalescent Murano glass of the most luminous quality. In the 16th century, opaline glass was made from the calcium phosphate coming from the calcination of bone. Opaline is also made from phosphate rock. The opaline was then infused with 24KT gold particles.

The reddish and raspberry-pink color was achieved by adding selected chemical compounds to the silica during melting. To achieve the color, an incredible amount of accuracy is required in terms of proportions and timings.

Such Murano masterpieces require a high level of skill and experience, which is one of the many reasons Murano has been loved throughout the centuries. Traveling against space and time, the artistry of this Murano chandelier will add mystery and magic to any room 9 feet or higher.

This chandelier is rewired to meet US electrical standards. It takes three candelabra size bulbs, incandescent or LED. Each light bulb can use up to a maximum of 60 watts. This fixture requires a canopy and chain which is not included. Three feet of wire at the top can be adjusted to the preferred length. Glass-blown and molded by hand, no part is perfect or identical. There might be natural imperfections, but no chips, or cracks in the glass. It is intact and absolutely stunning. Please see all the images, especially the close-ups. Parts are disassembled and require assembly. This fixture will require special handling and shipping by an experienced white glove service experienced in dismantling, packaging, and reassembling upon installation. To ship, it is dissembled. Three feet of wire at the top can be adjusted to the preferred length. Dimensions without ceiling cover and chain: H=22 in. W=20 in. D=20 in. 10 lbs.
