This trademark has persisted right through to the present day as the logo of Irish Dresden. Interestingly, the family survived wars and immigration with molds, process and knowledge to Ireland where they still manufacture to this day, a creation is still laborious and one piece may take months to complete. Irish Dresden figures have famously been presented to some former Presidents and First Ladies by the family themselves.

The delicately handpainted ballerina figurine is known as “ Can Can” girl an exquisite figural design with a beautiful and delicate layered tutu in Dresden porcelain lace that depicts that costume of the era. The can-can is a high-energy, physically demanding dance where features of the dance are the vigorous manipulation of skirts and petticoats, along with high kicks, splits, and cartwheels. One can imagine this dancer kicking up its lace petticoat! This creation’s lace is an abundance of lace, as wide as is long, and is in excellent shape with unsurpassed details.

The Dresden figurine measures approximately 6.0" in width x 6.5” tall and she is in great vintage pre-owned condition.
