Large, organic form, contemporary fine art, ceramic bowl decorated with swaths of opalescent lavender, lilac, and peach colored glazes. A band of silver outlines the rim of the vessel, highlighting the piece’s uniquely organic shape, and serving as a reminder that it is a useful object as well as a work of art. The artist’s signature is also painted in silver on the underside of the base.
Provenance: Originally acquired from a gallery in Chicago, IL in 1980.
