These … Read more A charming lot of six Mid-Century Murano glass fruits, including two pears, two bananas, one peach and one strawberry. These exquisite pieces were crafted using the "Murrine" technique originated in ancient Rome, where a central glass rod is repeatedly dipped into layers of molten glass of different colors. After cooling, the rod is sliced into thin cross-sections, revealing intricate patterns and designs within the glass. The strawberry features a gradient color, while the other five fruits showcase a spattered pattern. Additionally, the bananas were crafted using the "Sommerso" technique.

These heavy, high-quality art fruits not only serve as decorative pieces but can also function as elegant paperweights. They remains in very nice condition, with minor manufacturing imperfections and hard-to-see surface scratches.
