The antique vase was handcrafted in … Read more An Art Nouveau double-handle vase from La Faïencerie Héraldique de Pierrefonds Pottery of France. The antique vase was handcrafted in stoneware at the turn of the 20th century, circa 1905. Designed with two curved handles and decorated in a layered glaze with blue and green crystalline clusters scattered around the body. A glossy flambe glaze of lighter blue with tan accents decorates the upper surface of each handle, the neck, and inside of the mouth.

Very good condition with several small and typical glaze bursts, measuring 7.75 in. height x 5.5 in. at widest point of handles. Fully marked with an impressed heraldic helmet flanked by P & H over Pierrefonds with form number 78 impressed underfoot.

At the end of the 19th century, Count Olivier de Sorra's French factory, Pierrefonds Pottery, was known for the production of fine stoneware with artistic crystalline glazes. In 1904, The company became La Faïencerie Héraldique de Pierrefonds, producing sophisticated forms enveloped in crystalline and flambe glazes in the Art Nouveau style. See less
