A 1965 exhibition serigraph poster with image of a work by the American artist Nicholas Krushenick (1929-1999). The poster is an advertisement for the 15th Invitational Art Exhibition in collaboration with Graham Gallery and Nicholas Krushenick. The image used on the poster is a work by Krushenick and depicts a yellow and blue sun-like shape extending over a background of red.
Born in New York City, Nicholas Krushenick was an American abstract painter whose artistic style spanned Pop Art, Op Art, Minimalism and Color Field. After serving in World War II, he studied at the Art Students League of New York and the Hans Hofmann School of Fine Art. He was a founder, along with his brother John Krushenick, of the Brata Gallery, an artist's collective that included artists such as Yayoi Kusama and Al Held. His works have been exhibited at the Whitney Museum, the Metropolitan Museum of Art, the Museum of Modern Art, as well as others.
