The pattern is … Read more Lovely set of fine china from Franciscan features eight 6.5” plates and one 12.375” oval serving platter. The pattern is discontinued and is called ‘Appleton’ by Margo Findlay. The delicate pieces are an off-white/alabaster color with white & pink blossoms inspired by blooming apple trees in the Spring. (Resemble dogwood blossoms as well.) The platter is signed at base of branch. The small plates are translucent when held to the light, almost like an egg shell (see last photo). We think this would be a fabulous set to serve appetizers, tea sandwiches, or dessert. Made in California, circa 1950s. See less
