This Antique French Empire Style Neo-Classical Bronze Mounted Black Marble Column Table Lamp is a striking piece that epitomizes the elegance of the 19th-century French aesthetic. Crafted from exquisite Nero di Ormea marble, the columnar lamp features bronze fittings that seamlessly merge with the opulent design. Resting upon a gilded bronze 3-footed base, the lamp stands tall at 35" from the base to the finial, creating a commanding presence.
The substantial round pedestal is adorned with a bronze ormolu laurel leaf wreath, adding a touch of classical grandeur to the lamp. The bronze base, measuring 7.75" in diameter, provides stability and complements the overall design. Despite its age, this lamp has been fitted for electricity in the 20th century, combining historic charm with modern functionality.
The old repair on the column stem, located near the bottom right side. With its origins dating back to the 1st half of the 19th century in France, this Antique French Empire Style Lamp is not merely a functional lighting fixture but a captivating piece of history and artistry.
