This luxurious set of 12 Limoges fine porcelain dinner plates is decorated with wide cobalt blue bands surrounding two narrow bands of sky blue. The dark bands are heavily encrusted with hand-applied and hand-burnished 24K gold decorations. This Neoclassical foliage-and-geometric style of embellishment was popular in the Belle Époque era. The set is the impressive work of the firm Tressemann & Vogt, one of the leading Limoges area fine porcelain producers and decorators. The red bell version of their hallmark was used between the years 1907 and 1919. The pattern number is 1917. These plates should be hand-washed.
This set will make your special occasion and holiday tables look particularly appealing. Your guests will remember the intricate hand-work and French quality of these porcelain and gold dinner plates.
