Circa Late 19th Century. … Read more This is a Great Looking - Very Rare & Unusual Antique American Stoneware Pancake Batter Jug. Circa Late 19th Century. It has Classic Victorian Style Maple Leaf and Other Cameo Style High Relief Molded Features with Blue Embellished Features. It Still Retains its Original Lid - Top Cover. The Front is Embossed with a Number "3" that Most Likely Denotes its 3 Quart Storage Capacity. It Also has its Original Steel Wire & Black Painted Lathe Turned Wood Swing Bail Carry Handle. It has No Maker Mark but I am Sure it is American in Origin. It is in Excellent All Original Condition - Looks Like it has Seen Very Little Use Over the Years - Displays Beautifully. No Chips - No Cracks - No Repairs. There is Some Black Paint Loss on the Wood Handle. Still Perfectly Functional if So Desired.

The Jug Itself ( Not Including Handle ) Measures Overall Approx. 7 3/4 inches Tall x 8 1/2 Inches Long x 7 1/4 inches Wide. It Measures Approx. 11 inches Tall Including the Swing Handle in Uptight - Carry Position.
