Recently discovered during our winter Paris antiquing adventure
We recently escaped for a long weekend to Paris - a much-needed respite from daily reality. Rather than venturing to the famous flea markets outside the city, we chose to explore the intimate neighborhood antique galleries, brocantes, and weekend markets within Paris itself. With winter's quiet charm and lighter foot traffic, we uncovered some extraordinary treasures for the shop.

The Story:
This exceptional piece represents the pinnacle of early French porcelain craftsmanship, likely from the renowned workshops of Vincennes or Limoges. The absence of maker's marks places it in the fascinating pre-trade tariff era, when such identification wasn't required - adding to its historical intrigue.
The hand-painted blue and yellow wildflowers with graceful vines create a romantic garden scene against the pristine white Rococo-inspired body. The gilded edges, now beautifully worn from centuries of gentle use, give this piece even more panache and authentic character. This natural patina tells the story of generations who appreciated fine dining and beautiful objects.
A museum-quality piece that brings the elegance of early 19th century French dining culture to any collection - perfect for the connoisseur who appreciates unmarked treasures with impeccable provenance.
