Vintage; C.1930's Sterling Silver and teak handled dual salt and pepper shaker in one. A unique serving piece onto itself, but a small sophisticated emblem of a bygone era and time, when entertaining at home, having a dinner soiree and the like, was surrounded by one's dalliances and iconic identity, within one's own home/abode environment, whereupon and within the Hollywood Regency era. Made in India, for the domestic market, per previous owner and provenance given as a purchase while on a trip abroad in the C.1950's-60's while on numerous, work-related within diplomatic services. In great shape, considering the era of manufacture with use, but well cared for and maintained. There was a time when India was colonized, and many aspects of silver and sterling were made for the European and American market, as well as spices and the likes and imported out of India. The silversmiths, were well-known for their unique craftsmanship on serving and decorative pieces. From a Ft. Lauderdale, Florida Estate.
Width Dimensions is side view profile, while Depth is the actual membrane which holds the salt and pepper from one end to the other, while height is thickness of membrane., when laying in repose.
