Presenting an antique Royal Copenhagen Commemorative plate, crafted to celebrate the Silver Wedding of Frederik, Crown Prince of Denmark (1843-1912), and Crown Princess Louise. Designed by Arnold Krog, this plate features molded blue underglaze decoration on a white porcelain body. The design includes a monogram "FL" enclosing the years 1869 - 1894, with a crown at the crest and three wavy lines at the bottom.
This charming piece carries the Royal Copenhagen "Danmark" and crown mark, along with the three wavy lines mark, this combo was used from 1894 to 1900. First issued in 1894, production ceased after 1200 copies were made.
In very nice condition, this plate exhibits minor surface scratches and glaze imperfections, as shown in the last two photos.
