The clock case was designed by ernst august leuteritz using old moulds in the rococo style: the clock case rises on a base with gold-highlighted rocailles, richly decorated with delicate, sculpturally moulded flowers, leaves and rocailles surrounding the dial. Fully sculpted figures personify the four seasons: sitting on the left above the dial is a female putto with a garland of flowers in her hands, representing spring; to the right is summer, a female putto with ears of corn and a sickle in her hand; to the left below, on a rocaille foot, is autumn with vines on his hips, drinking from a wine glass; opposite him is the winter putto covered in a red fur scarf, warming his hands on a fire pot. Below the dial and on the vase crowning the case with a bouquet of sculpted flowers and foliage, cartouches with finely painted watteau scenes. White porcelain dial painted with black roman numerals, set in brass. Original movement checked by the master clockmaker, completely cleaned and fully functional, half hour and hour strike on bell, movement signed 'a. Carlhian & beaumetz a paris'.
designed by ernst august leuteritz (1818-1893): he studied at the academy in dresden, was a sculptor and from 1849 to 1886 he held the position of head of design at the meissen porcelain manufactory, and in 1882 he became professor. He worked on vessel shapes and figures from the 18th century and designed vases, centerpieces and candlesticks in the styles of rococo and classicism. Design of model 399 x circa 1860-1870.

Orders where Free Local Pickup or Seller Managed Local Delivery were selected:
- Upon inspection, If you decide not to move forward with the purchase, you or your agent must refuse the item at the time of pickup/delivery from the seller
