Presenting a set of five Art Nouveau style hand painted fine porcelain Austrian salad plates likely imported from New York's P.H. Leonard in the late 19th Century. It is possible they were imported as blanks and hand painted by a hobbyist resulting in this unique one-of-a-kind Art Nouveau style. The plates themselves are comprised of an all-white fine porcelain with slightly scalloped border and raised design palpable in tactile relief. Two shades of green and a gold gilt edge decorate the set for a nouveau, boho, or Celtic vibe.
The plates are stamped on the underside Vienna Austria with two shields and a crown. Faint embossed letters and numbers read TK, 16, 65 and a four-leaf clover shape.
