An unusual serving piece : an early 19th century Nanking sauceboat with associated leaf form undertray. This pattern is a close cousin to blue and white Canton porcelain, but with more detail. Sauce boat in excellent condition, the leaf form underplate has some glaze frits around the edge, no chips to the body. Typical irregularities to the glazes, as made, to both.
