A wonderful and iconic curiosity for one's collection, … Read more C.1950s-60s: Vintage Italian porcelain ceramic Majolica monkey water carafe, or accent piece. A wonderful and iconic curiosity for one's collection, and/or for use, as the spout or opening is the monkeys mouth, while the back side by monkeys head is where one fills up the carafe. There are also minute hand-painted details; around the opening of mouth, the eyes, but he ears, with snippets of brown patch of glazed paints here and there, as images showcase. There is also the original affixed sticker, of provenance, and maker's numbered series, which states, "Made in Italy, and numbered series, European standards, 1553/347, which is essentially 347 of 1553 in the series made.
