Created in … Read more Here is a faux nautical walrus scrimshaw depicting vignettes of the ship Regulus skippered by Captain James Hoad. Created in the 1980's. The ship is depicted , along with a splendid shield that says "E Pluribus Unum". The figure of Captain Hoad is also etched on the tusk. On the other side of the tusk, there is a figure of a lady, presumably Mrs. Hoad, and a lovely vase of ferns and fruit. This faux scrimshaw tusk is extremely realistic. See less
