Stunning vintage c.1940's Showa era Japanese cloisonne lidded jar / box as shown! Exceptionally lovely deep red hues with pops of white and yellow from the floral sprays in the foreground. The material is solid copper, with a silver plating over the non enameled portions.
It measures 4" in diameter by 2 1/2" in height and is in very good vintage condition as shown in the photographs. Age appropriate wear throughout, including wear to the silver plating on the inside of the jar from use over the decades. No dents, gouges, cracks, repairs, missing enamel, etc!
