They come from the Classic Industrial Revolution Era - Circa Approx. Mid 19th Century. These Giant Size Outside Measuring Calipers Measure 24 inches Tall. They Could have been Used in any Number of Industrial Settings including Foundries - Sawmills - Ship & Railroad Building - Carpentry & Construction Etc. They are Completely Hand Made - Hand Wrought Obviously by a Well Seasoned Tool Maker or Blacksmith. They have No Markings but I am Quite Sure that They are American in Origin.
They are in Very Good Condition - Nice Original Surface Patina. They would Display Very Well as a Piece of Wall Decor.
They Measure Overall Approx. 24 inches Tall x 3/4 inch Wide at Top Hinge - Joint.
They are Approx. 19 inches Long when Fully Extended / 12 1/2 inches Long When Collapsed.
