Sculptural papier maché face fan with a beautifully turned rosewood handle. These screens were used by women to shield their face from the heat as they sat close to the fire in colder months. The fan is decorated with a scene of English Gothic ruins and framed with gilt scrollwork decoration. Mounted with a custom bracket that allows the fan to be hung on the wall.
