C.1970s; Vintage Mid-Century Modern, Original Giancarlo Piretti for Castelli pair of chrome folding chairs with bronze brown, acrylic seats and … Read more C.1970s; Vintage Mid-Century Modern, Original Giancarlo Piretti for Castelli pair of chrome folding chairs with bronze brown, acrylic seats and back rest folding chairs. Original sticker is affixed to back of frame, stating, "Made in Italy," which has faded, but still able to be read. The third to the last image, of each seat back, chrome edge is where the sticker is affixed and states the aforementioned. Also the acrylic seat has the word, "Italy," on one side of seat edge, while the other sides edging has the word, "Cordoma." Finally the chairs frame has been well-preserved and protected by the original white plastic bumpers you see within on all he images. The manufacture which produced the acrylic pieces for these wonderfully iconic and recognizable folding chairs. Essentially they are still available to re-order and replace any old, or broken pieces. Often they have been utilized for additional seating in overflowing dinner parties, extra seating, in any social gathering setting, patio, or in a smaller interior space, whereupon and one can store these foldable chairs away, and perfect for this very use, or plainly just for any and all additional seating. They are both stylish and eclectic, and non-obtrusive, with high regard towards a glamorous design esthetic. No pitting to the chrome whatsoever. In excellent condition, with minute scratch here and there, to the acrylic seats, almost indiscernible to the eye. From a well-maintained home.
