The three little dragons cling and coil around the surface in high relief, their sinuous forms echoling motifs common in the late Zhou bronze vessels. There is great attention to details, from the rings around the neck and all the raised dots all over the body which are the prominent features of Warring States jade carvings. The stone shows a soft polish with natural variations and mottling, simulating the patina on burial jades which enhance the sense of age and handling.
