This great dish has Vienna Secessionist and … Read more We are selling this fabulous German .800 silver compote dish by Lazarus Posen. This great dish has Vienna Secessionist and Art Nouveau styling that is just extravagant. The top of the compote has a fruit decoration with 8+1 branch scheme which leads us to believe it may be a piece of Judaica as Posen made many high quality Judaica and Hanukkah themed pieces. The base is signed Posen and also marked 800 with a crescent moon type mark. The dish probably originally had a liner but we are unsure what the intent of the piece was. 11.97 ozt

Condition: Good antique condition with some difficult to polish tarnish. Probably originally had a glass liner.
