Zodiac-theme plate designed by Paul Schreckengost for Gem Clay Forming Company of Sebring, Ohio. The Zodiac plate, made in a 14-inch diameter, was created in 1940. This plate is in the less common green color.
He designed thousands of objects. In 1935, the Treasury Department asked Schreckengost to design the Jefferson nickel that features Monticello on the reverse.
