A beautiful set of four (4) Nippon white porcelain cocktail drinks coasters with rose floral and leaf design and gold trimmed edge, circa mid-20th century, Japan. Colors include pink, green, turquoise, and gold. Coasters are signed on reverse "Hand Painted" and "NIPPON". Pieces are stamped with the rising sun Nippon mark indicating were made in Japan, see pictures, and the stamp dates this piece to 1911-1929. Gold circle lines adorn the interior. Charming hand painted pink floral/ botanical / leaf motif and turquoise band decorate each piece. Piece can be used as drink coaster, ashtray, trinket dish, catchall, small plant stand, snack dish, jewelry dish, ring/earring/cufflink dish. Perfect for drinks, cocktails, etc. A great addition to any bar or bar cart, and a necessity for protecting furniture tops/surfaces.
