This decorative piece is surrounded (on interior and exterior sides) with four classical courtyard scenes, abundant flora, birds and butterflies. The central medallion is a pink flower with green leaves and a blue bird. The rim of the white painted bowl is gold, which also outlines the border of multicolored flowers and other still-life details/motifs.

The painted porcelain is finished with a glaze which, along with the gilt accents, reflects the light beautifully. The bowl is large - 12”in diameter and 5.75” high - and would make a statement at the center of any table. The bowl comes with a traditional stand/rest (see photo).

The bowl was originally purchased in New York City in the 1990s. Chinese stamp appears at the bottom. See less
