Crafted from fine walnut, it features a rectangular beveled top made from solid planks joined together with pegged mortise & tenon technique, also used for the apron to leg joints below. The apron and legs were elegantly scrolled then a fine rolled edge was carved into the legs and apron after assembly to create style continuity. The "back" side is fully scrolled and finished so it can be placed in the middle of the room if desired. The "front" displays a wonderful contour called en arbalette for its resemblance to the shape of an archer's bow. The form of the drawer facade is not only elegantly contoured, but fitted with a brace of beautifully cast brass bale pulls. Four cloven hoof feet are carved into the tips of the cabriole legs to finish out the master work!
